Lambeth Lightning's 45th Annual Ceremonial Review
Hello parents/guardians and cadets. There have been a few questions surrounding the ACR so i thought I would explain for those that may not be familiar. An Annual Ceremonial Review, or ACR, is a formal, military style parade and is the most important event of the cadet yearly calendar. It is an opportunity for the squadron to demonstrate all that they have been working so hard on all year for family, friends, and the invited dignitaries. There will be marching and awards presentations. The Drill Team and Band will perform and each training level will have a static display to demonstrate the subject matter they have learned this year. This will be Lambeth Lightning's 45th ACR and is a long standing tradition going all the way back to the formation of 862 in 1978. This is considered a mandatory event and only the Commanding Officer is authorized to excuse cadets from participation. For cadets, it will no doubt be a long day of set up, practicing, and then marching on parade. Invited guests are asked to be seated by 1:30pm as the cadets will start taking their places shortly afterwards. The ceremony itself will conclude at 3:330pm with a short reception to follow. We look forward to seeing you next weekend. I have included the Invitation and the Warning Order that will go out with all cadets this week.
